Thirty Five Thousand Years in the Making

February 27, 2008 on 1:43 am | In Loose Strings, Science Fiction Art, Space Art | No Comments

Near Verona, Italy inside the Fumane Cave in the Lessini Hills, Researchers not long ago discovered images painted on the wall that dated back some 35,000 years. “They are probably the oldest cave paintings, although we cannot affirm that with scientific certainty,” said Professor Alberto Broglio, who teaches paleontology at the University of Ferrara. - (source- Oldest Cave Painting)

Art has truly been around for a long time and there have certainly been a great many innovations, experimentations, explorations, abstractions and more than a few masterpieces that have stolen the hearts of others for thousands of years. It is what an artist seeks to do, we seek to express to others our passions, the explorations of our own mind and soul, in such a way as to captivate others and inspire them to understand.

It is ever-evolving, expanding as new mixes with old, that which is treasured, that which is sold. Generation by generation, fabulous wonders are revealed, each bearing a bit of the soul of its creator. It matters not in truth, the tool by which it was created; for it is the path of enlightenment that things will change. Each true artist who masters that which is within him will find a way by which to create and there will always be new tools.

This is the way of the Universe and that is one of my passions.

The Colorful Demise of a Sun like Star

This print of the Colorful Demise of a Sun-like Star is an enlarged artistic manipulation of the original image captured by the NASA. This particular Hubble shot is one that had great influence & inspiration in my fractal illusions of Space & Science Fiction (Heavy on the fiction… LOL). - If you are looking to fill a large empty wall, I personally recommend (& set “As Artist Intended”) it as a 48.0″ x 36.0″ Print on PremierArt Canvas, Gallery Wrap: with the classic Satin Black Scoop Frame - 2.38″ - has a quarter inch raised flat ridge on the outer edge, balanced by a subtle quarter inch scoop on the inner edge.
Finished size: 52.8″ x 40.8″ for just $360.44
Available at My NASA-art Gallery by clicking on the image there and then selecting “As the Artist Intended” or can be purchased in various size prints on a variety of art papers & canvas and framing available if you like.

NASA Hubble Telescope art

August 11, 2007 on 4:19 pm | In Space Art | No Comments

Now, I want to start out fair & honest with everyone, even though it may not profit me to do so.

1 – These are artistic manipulations based on NASA/Hubble images – the originals are free to download and have a print made, I simply offer artistically enhanced versions for 10% over the printing cost, with the permission of the NASA Copyright office. I offer them at that price so I can start to earn at least a little money as I work to become known a little for my normal art. Plus it saves you the time of downloading large files and then uploading somewhere to have the print made. I will also be enlarging some of the images at NASA that are too small for print, like the Jupiter artwork shown here.

2 – I am not in any way, shape or form connected to NASA or any other government or scientific organization. I am simply a disabled person working hard to rebuild a shattered life.

The Hubble telescope images are a good deal of the inspiration of my normal digital artworks. I am somewhat limited on what I have to work with, yet I passionately weave light into colorful illusions. Working with the NASA images is fun and I like to shift styles around during my days to keep me from getting art block. Each and every day my depression allows me to function I work hard to be as productive as I can. Much of the time it is nowhere near as much as I wanted to so please be patient, I will try to post a new one every few days. I have lots of other art if you’d care to just browse about, perhaps you’ll find one or two you’d love on your wall and help me earn a buck or two.

My NASA / Hubble Art page - Prints are available in several sizes & on a variety of fine art papers or as canvas prints, with custom framing available as well.

The Big Bang!

August 11, 2007 on 2:51 pm | In Space Art | No Comments

The Big Bang

The other day I had come across the “Big Bang Theory” on a scientific website and decided to read it as one of my hobbies is Astronomy & theoretical physics such as String Theory (hobby only, I’m not that smart… lol). One of the styles I have developed is weaving Science Fiction & Space illusions with a Fractal flame software called Apophysis. I decided to attempt the illusion of the Big Bang.

Designing this was a lesson in CHAOS, mixing multiple techniques I have developed, I wove an explosion of such magnitude that fiery balls of plasma are hurled outward, as they begin to spin spiral arms begin to form as they gather matter spinning away through endless debris. If the theory does prove to someday be true, it is the origin/root of all, our Earth, moon, stars and each & every one of us. As to the debate; evolution vs creationism, the bible says God created it, it doesn’t say how he did it or how long a day is to God. That is about all my damaged brain can handle… lol
This artwork is available in open edition prints (CLICK HERE) on a variety of fine art papers or canvas (framing also if you wish).

The Einstein-Rosen Bridge

The Einstein Rosen Bridge

I thought I would begin this site with a piece dedicated to Albert Einstein & Nathan Rosen and all the other theorists/physicists trying to understand and explain our universe.

The Einstein-Rosen Bridge, more commonly referred to as a Wormhole, is a hypothetical tunnel or passage between two points in space & time (or spacetime as it is often termed). The term “wormhole” comes in essence from an example of a worm tunneling through an apple and coming out the other side. The Einstein-Rosen Bridge/Wormhole could theoretically connect two distant points in space and/or time, perhaps even alternate universes.

Because I have mental disabilities, a lot of theoretical physics escape me, its just more than I can fully comprehend and I have to read even the simplest things over and over and Over again, just to get it firmly stuck in my head. As an artist though, such theories make excellent inspiration for the 3D (3 Dimensional) artwork illusions I create and is the foundation/concept behind several of my art series as shown here.

I offer two Limited Edition Canvas Prints of this piece:

Unframed Limited Edition (set=100) Print on PremierArt Canvas, Gallery Wrap: 32.0″ x 24.0″ $275.00

Framed Limited Edition (set=50) Print on PremierArt Canvas, Gallery Wrap- size 48.0″ x 36.0″ - Red Gold Scoop with Bead frame, 2.13″ width - Finished size: 52.3″ x 40.3″ - - Price - $575.00
